Neymar: Hansi Flick's view on potential Barcelona reunion revealed Neymar has been linked with a shock return to Barcelona The 33-year-old forward has made a strong start to his second spell at Santos Hansi Flick has given his verdict on a move for Neymar

Image
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick does not consider a move for Neymar to be a "priority" despite extensive interest from the club's board, according to a report in Spain. Neymar enjoyed four trophy-laden seasons at Barcelona between 2013 and 2017 before leaving for Paris Saint-Germain in a record-shattering £198m deal. After failing to live up to lofty price tag, the injury-prone forward endured a disastrous 18 months in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal which amounted to just seven very costly appearances and one goal. Brazil's all-time leading scorer returned to his first club Santos in January and has already found the net three times, prompting interest from Barcelona about a shock return. While club president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco are thought to be open to a deal, Flick is less keen. Spanish publication SPORT pointedly note that the German coach "has not asked" for Neymar's arrival and the forward is not thought to be anywhere near the top o...

The 28-year-old has taken on a new role this season under the management of Arne Slot, straying away from his favoured left wing role to play more centrally. The change of position has helped Diaz to be more effective at the sharp end of the pitch – his 13 goals with three months of the season remaining match the most he's ever achieved in a single year at Liverpool – and the club are closing in on the Premier League title after pulling 13 points clear of Arse...

My idea is very simple: always help the team,” said Wataru Endo as Liverpool enter the Champions League knockout phase. The Japan international was part of the 24-man Reds squad that travelled to France on Tuesday afternoon for the first leg of their last-16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday evening. Endo then took questions from the media at the pre-match press conference, and was asked about his attitude regarding his amount of game time under Arne Slot so far. “Yeah, it is a little bit tough for me because I don’t play that much,” said the No.3, who has totalled 23 appearances this term – 17 of those from the bench. “But the thing I can do is help the team. So, my idea is now very simple: I always try to help the team. And if I have a chance to play, I go all in. “That’s what I’m thinking, always, and I’ll keep doing that.” Endo continued: “I have had conversations with the manager a few times in the season. He always told me my attitude and what I have done for the tea...
